Korean Air to expand code share on Mideast, Africa routes with Etihad

 

 

KOREAN Air plans to expand its code-share agreement with Etihad Airways on Middle East and Africa routes, to place its airline KE code on flights operated by Etihad Airways from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates to Khartoum

The Abu Dhabi-Khartoum flights will operate five times a week, subject to approval from the Sudanese government.

Etihad suspends flights to Tripoli, Libya

 

 

Etihad Airways has temporarily suspended its three weekly passenger flights and two weekly cargo flights to TripoliLibya, effective immediately.

The announcement follows safety and operational challenges that the airline has observed in recent months atTripoli airport.

The airline began flights to Tripoli on Jan. 17, 2012.

Emirates launches fourth daily flight to HK

 

 

Emirates has launched its fourth daily service between Hong Kong and Dubai. 

Over the last two years, Emirates has remained committed to Hong Kong and has doubled its flight schedule to four flights daily, providing over 10,000 seats for passengers travelling between the two cities each week.

Qatar adds services

 

 

Qatar's Qatar Airways Cargo has added scheduled dedicated freighter services to four new destinations, namely BeirutMadridParis and TbilisiGeorgia.

Also, frequency will be increased to Seoul and capacity will be added on the Oslo route.

Finnair Cargo tweaks winter schedule

 

 

Finnair will fly a freighter twice weekly to Hanoi,Vietnam.

There is also a new frequency to the airline’s Brusselscargo hub, which was opened in April. This additional weekend frequency to Brussels improves services connecting shipments between Asia and Central Europe as it increases the available wide-body cargo capacity of the Brussels operations by 40 percent.

AirBridgeCargo increases Milan, Paris flights

 

 

ABC now operates scheduled flights from Paris andMilan three and five times a week, respectively.

In addition to two flights from Paris, the airline has added an extra service on Fridays. In addition to the three existing frequencies from Milan to Moscow every Monday, Tuesday and Friday, additional services now also operate on Thursdays and Sundays.

Cargo Volumes Up at ANA, JAL

 

 

Japan’s All Nippon Airways Co. (ANA) said that its international cargo volume rose for the seventh straight month in September on a year-on-year basis, increasing 5.8 percent to 49,999 tons.

The volume of cargo ANA carried on its international routes in the first half of fiscal 2013, which started on April 1, totaled 287,410 tons, up 8.4 percent from the same six-month period last year.

Carglux adds Latin American service

 

 

   Cargolux will commence a new South American routing between Luxemboug and Buenos Aires using Boeing 747 freighters starting Nov. 13.
